First start-up meeting for new innovation projects

On 23 May, Swelife, Medtech4Health and Vinnova held a joint upstart meeting for the sixteen innovation projects that received funding through the call for applications Collaboration projects for better health 2019.

It was the first time this kind of meeting had been held for the projects. The idea was to be able to provide good advice and information prior to the project period, for example, on how formalities can be taken care of in a satisfactory and efficient way.

A sub-goal for Swelife is to reinforce and increase the rate of use of research infrastructures, and therefore, employees from the Testa Center were present at the meeting and talked about their organisation.

The projects were also able to give short presentations for those present in the packed venue.

An event that left attendees wanting more!

What was good about the day?

Kristin Hellman, project manager, Uppsala BIO:

“It was great to see all these exciting projects and companies in the same room! I think the discussions that arose between the teams are really exciting and create both an exchange of experiences and new collaborations. ”

Jonas Tranell, project officer, Vinnova:

“What was good about the day was that it presented the projects with the opportunity to learn from each other, and I know that several conversations about collaboration were initiated between different project groups. For Vinnova, it was also an excellent opportunity to strengthen the relationships with the project teams and to explain how we can support them on the journey that lies ahead.”
