The European patient-driven initiative EUPATI (European Patients’ Academy) aims to increase patients’ knowledge of and engagement in the development of new treatments.
Translating the content of the EUPATI Educational Toolbox & Internet Library into Swedish will enable more Swedish patients to gain knowledge of and access to the material. This will increase their knowledge of drug research and drug development, thereby giving Swedish patient representatives better conditions to act on patients’ behalf in the context of public authorities, collaboration projects and public debate, for example. Increased knowledge of research also reinforces opportunities for Swedish patients to participate in clinical studies. Swelife is financing the translation into Swedish.
