Grand Challenge is a competition-driven form of innovation that is new to Sweden. As a form, the Grand Challenge aims to mobilize actors to take on a central societal challenge. Within the framework of this project, we use it to mobilize commitment to achieve the vision of zero childhood obesity at the start of school in 2030.
Grand Challenge Prevent Childhood Obesity is aimed at organizations or groups of individuals who in teams tackle the societal challenge of childhood obesity with solutions on how childhood obesity can be prevented and give everyone an equal health start in life.
The first step in the challenge is a hackathon that we run together with the SAS Institute. On December 21, we open the opportunity for interested teams to register for the hackathon and thus take the first step into the Grand Challenge.
The challenge is part of Swelife’s project Prevention of childhood obesity that brings Sweden together around the societal challenge of childhood obesity with solutions on how childhood obesity can be prevented and how to give everyone an equal health start in life.
